We taped it up, since the water application seemed like a lot of work, so I don't actually know if it'd adhere wel. However, it does perfectly, the job for which I bought it. It blocks the view from outside completely, even at night, and allows a ton of sunshine in through the entire day. I love it, and am very pleased.
