Security Window Film, Basic 8 Mil Clear
Remlor Security Window Film is a PET film that will protect your family from broken glass caused by the average household accident, as well as deter someone from breaking into your home. A burglars goal is to get-in and get-out in a minimal amount of time, however, with Remlor Security Film installed correctly broken glass is held together, and takes much more force and time to enter through a window. In addition to security, this film had added benefit of protecting your house and family from the everyday accidents from a ball accidently thrown at a window, or a large glass window that someone may run into. Security film is designed to hold the glass together in the event of breakage, without obscuring vision. This film is 8 mil thick.
Our films are designed and constructed the same as the PET films discussed in this Discovery Channel Video

All security films are installed on the interior surface of a window. The best method of installation is to remove the glass from the window frame, install the film, and reinstall the glass into the frame. The frame will act as an anchor to the film. If this is not possible, a bead of clear (or white, if preferred) silicone around the edge of the glass, about 24-48 hours after installation, is highly recommended. This will keep the glass and film firmly anchored in the frame if the glass is broken.

this was a one time purchase, to pass a final building inspection I needed to make the glass in the shower window to be resistant like tempered glass, your product was the only one I could find on the internet where you could buy effectively by the foot, everybody else had a minimum yardage to be sold. It works perfectly! Inspection Passed!

Yet to be tested but makes me much more secure about our kids chance of injury. Went on without too much difficulty and is virtually completely invisible, apart from the corners...the hardest to cut neatly.
